Resumen
We endow the space of rooted planar trees with the structure of a Hopf algebra. We prove that variations of such a structure lead to Hopf algebras on the spaces of labeled trees, n-Trees, increasing planar trees and sorted trees. These structures are used to construct Hopf algebras on different types of permutations. In particular, we obtain new characterizations of the Hopf algebras of Malvenuto-Reutenauer and Loday-Ronco via planar rooted trees.

Controlling domain wall chirality by combining hard and soft magnetic materials in planar nanostructures with wire-ring morphology (2020)
Corona, Rosa M.; Castillo-Sepúlveda, Sebastian; Altbir, Dora; Escrig, Juan (Elsevier B.V., 2021-01)Vortex domain walls (DWs) are characterized by their chirality, an important property that needs to be controlled for the use of such walls in potential technological applications. In this work we explore a wire-ring ... -

Searching for Systems with Planar Hexacoordinate Carbons (2024)
Inostroza, Diego; Leyva-Parra, Luis; Yañez, Osvaldo; Solar-Encinas, José; Vásquez-Espinal, Alejandro; Valenzuela, Maria Luisa; Tiznado, William (MDPI, 2023)Here, we present evidence that the D2h M2C50/2+ (M = Li-K, Be-Ca, Al-In, and Zn) species comprises planar hexacoordinate carbon (phC) structures that exhibit four covalent and two electrostatic interactions. These findings ... -

Planar Elongated B12 Structure in M3B12 Clusters (M = Cu-Au) (2024)
Solar-Encinas, José; Vásquez-Espinal, Alejandro; Leyva-Parra, Luis; Yañez, Osvaldo; Inostroza, Diego; Valenzuela, Maria Luisa; Orellana, Walter; Tiznado, William (MDPI, 2023)Here, it is shown that the M3B12 (M = Cu-Au) clusters’ global minima consist of an elongated planar B12 fragment connected by an in-plane linear M3 fragment. This result is striking since this B12 planar structure is not ...
