dc.descriptionArterial Hypertension is one of the main causes of death and disability. One of the biggest problems with this chronic illness is the lack of adherence towards pharmacological and nonpharmacological treatment. This means that many patients are unable to control their hypertension levels and thus increasing the risk of suffering from cardiovascular complications and worsening their quality of life. A bibliographic review was carried out using articles from the following databases: PubMed, Medline, LILACS, CNAHL, Scopus and Google Academic. As part of the search, articles with descriptions “arterial hypertension”, “intervention”, “therapeutic adherence”, “nursing role” were used. Articles with free access to the full text, between the years 2012-2016, were studied. We can put into categories the six situations from the results obtained: informative tasks, educational actions, follow-up activities, actions regarding the treatment, complex actions and those that highlight the relationship between the patient and the health professional. It is essential that we find out which actions must be taken for therapeutic adherence. They are actions with a complex character that encompass the multifactorial nature of therapeutic adherence and range from; creating an aid relationship between the health professional and patient; advancement of self-care and, the self-responsibility of the patient.en-US
dc.descriptionLa hipertensión arterial se presenta como una de las principales causas de muerte y discapacidad. Una de las grandes problemáticas de esta enfermedad crónica es la falta de adherencia al tratamiento farmacológico y no farmacológico. Este problema, hace que muchos pacientes no consigan tener un buen control de sus cifras de tensión arterial y se incremente el riesgo de sufrir complicaciones cardiovasculares, deteriorando en gran medida su calidad de vida. Se realizó una revisión bibliográfica de artículos en las bases de datos PubMed, Medline, LILACS, CINAHL, Scopus y google académico. Como estrategia de búsqueda se seleccionaron artículos con los descriptores “hipertensión arterial”, “intervención”, “adherencia terapéutica”, “función enfermera”. Los criterios de inclusión fueron artículos con acceso gratuito al texto completo, comprendidos entre los años 2012-2016. Podemos agrupar en categorías de seis intervenciones los resultados obtenidos: tareas informativas, acciones educativas, actividades de seguimiento, intervenciones sobre el tratamiento, las intervenciones complejas y las que hacen hincapié en la relación entre el paciente y el profesional. Es fundamental conocer que las intervenciones que deben realizarse sobre la adherencia terapéutica, son intervenciones de carácter complejo, que abarcan la naturaleza multifactorial de la adherencia terapéutica, desde la base de una relación de ayuda entre el profesional y el paciente, el fomento de los autocuidados y la autorresponsabilidad del paciente.es-ES
