Resumen
It is undeniable the role that families for providing support for the persons with mental illness. Through this study, we aim to collect the opinions of the relatives, as spokespersons of the needs and worries concerns of this disorder, for thus, to know the general status of the problem, the degree of satisfaction with the system and the resources that it provides and the panorama for which they cross these families. The sample consisted of 102 relatives of the different associations of FEAFES-Andalusia of five provinces of Andalusia. A questionnaire was created for the present study, which alternates items type Likert with items of response to developing, including different topics relating to resources, attention, needs and protection, principally to sanitary level and of infrastructures. The results are discussed, and remark the need to continue working in this respect, with the end not only to assess the limitations, but also of intervening in order to achieve better conditions. Resulta innegable el papel que las familias desempeñan a la hora de proporcionar soporte y apoyo a las personas con enfermedad mental. A través del presente estudio se pretenden recoger las opiniones de los familiares de personas que han tenido contacto con el tratamiento del Trastorno Mental Grave para conocer el estado general de la problemática, el grado de satisfacción ante el sistema y los recursos que proporciona y el panorama por el que atraviesan estas familias. La muestra estuvo conformada por 102 familiares de usuarios de las diferentes asociaciones de FEAFES-Andalucía de cinco provincias de Andalucía. Se aplicó un cuestionario ex profeso para el presente estudio, que alterna ítems tipo Likert con ítems de respuesta a desarrollar, abarcando diferentes temas referentes a recursos, atención, necesidades y amparo, principalmente a nivel sanitario y de infraestructuras. Se discuten los resultados, y se recalca la necesidad de seguir trabajando en esta línea, con el fin no sólo de recoger las limitaciones, sino también de intervenir de cara a lograr mejores condiciones.
