Resumen
Experimental studies are characterized by the assessment of effect of one or more interventions, usually comparatively with other intervention, or placebo; and the prospective nature of data collection and follow-up. Included in the term experimental studies, there are a variety of designs: Clinical trials (CT) and its variants, quasi-experimental studies and natural experiments.
