The article identifies the weapons used by Spaniards, Indians and Creoles during the 18th century in Tucumán (Jujuy). From a cultural history perspective, various types of documents are examined to investigate the instruments of the microphysics of power and the contradictory monopoly of violence. © 2019 CSIC.
