Resumen
Chlorocatechols are considered to be central intermediates in metabolism of chlorinated aromatic compounds even if other alternative pathways were also reported. Originally they were considered to be metabolized only through a modified ortho-cleavage pathway because meta-fission of 3-chlorocatechol was considered to create suicidal acyl halides. © 2020, Interamerican Society for Electron Microscopy (CIASEM).
